Position Description and Responsibilities

Silvaco is looking for a software developer, who can be based in either the EU or US to support our Ion Implantation module. Working at the very center of the TCAD engineering teams, the Ion Implementation Software Developer will help Silvaco develop and deliver high quality products and services.

As a member of the TCAD group, you will provide state of the art recommendations and support to internal engineering teams that produce highly accurate customer simulation results timely. The successful candidate will be an expert in Ion Implantation simulation and technology development with some knowledge of diffusion, Etching and Deposition, Oxidation and stress; and, able to become an expert in Silvaco 2D and 3D TCAD simulation tools. As an integral member of a team of highly trained and experienced engineers, the successful candidate must also be able to:

• Develop and support Ion Implantation modules, testing, calibration in C/C++
• Provide accurate and effective written documentation
• Identify and apply new modeling trends and techniques effectively to enhance product planning efforts
• Communicate complex ideas and testing results effectively, both orally and in writing

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Ph.D. in Physics, EE, or relevant field with 5+ years’ experience in Ion Implantation
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and software design
• Semiconductor technology development
• Advanced semiconductor process flows
• Device Physics knowledge
• Self-starter, good communication and collaboration skills
• Strong expertise in handling compilers, debuggers, and framework tools
• Scripting knowledge (e.g. Perl, TCL, Python, JavaScript)
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
