IMPORTANT DATES FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2026/27

First application period:

  • EU citizens must submit their application from 18 February to 18 March 2026.
  • Non-EU citizens must submit their application from 18 February to 18 March 2026.

Second application period:

  • EU citizens must submit their application from 20 to 27 August 2026.
  • Non-EUcitizens must submit their application from 3 to 4 September 2026.

These dates are not fixed and are published every year, so make sure to check web pages https://moja.um.si/en/future-students/Strani/enrolment.aspx and https://portal.evs.gov.si/razpisi-za-vpis regularly.

THE APPLICATION AND ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR ENROLMENT IN THE FIRST YEAR OF POSTGRADUATE STUDY PROGRAMMES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MARIBOR

The first application period for enrolment in the first year of master’s studies opens in March 2026 and will remain open until:

  • 4 September 2026 for citizens of the Republic of Slovenia and EU Member States as well as for Slovenians in Border Regions and Abroad;
  • 30 April 2026 for citizens of non-EU Member States.

The first application period for enrolment in the first year of doctoral studies will remain open until:

  • ​​4 September 2026 for citizens of the Republic of Slovenia and EU Member States;​
  • 30 April 2025 for Slovenians in Border Regions and Abroad and citizens of non-EU Member States.
