Smart specialization priority area: Mobility

Project summary:

The main strategic goal of the project is to develop a 3H battery that will provide high power by high energy density of the battery pack which will enable sale in selected segments globally and further development after implementation of the project.

The project contributes with its results to the realization of Slovenian strategy of smart specialization S4 in the priority area: mobiliy and sub-area: e-mobility and energy storage. In this field will the project contributed to more efficient and cleaner energy use as it eliminates the main problems in the development of racing two-wheelers by switching from internal combustion engines to e-motors driven by electricity.

Within the project, innovations will be developed at the three levels: of product as a whole, within the battery and of battery management.

The project will enable strengthening of the development potential, acquiring new knowledges and increasing the competitiveness of the participating companies RTC and EMT in corporation with FERI, as well as employment and project engagement of new researchers.

The project ambition is expressed in a vision, which basic idea is to replace internal combustion engines with electric motors.

The 3H battery is primarily intended for racing two-wheelers for motocross and is also useful in other areas, e.g. enduro motors, off-road four-wheelers… The expected project impact is a brand-new product–3H battery with outstanding features that eliminates the defects of current batteries and will be sold globally.

The project will have a very positive impact on the environment, as it will enable a lower energy consumption based on the use of clean electricity and thus a drastic reduction in emission and noise.

The project objectives will be achieved through the project implementation on the basis of project management approaches already established between partners, within special emphasis will be on innovation management, quality assurance and risk management.
