On Tuesday, 30 September 2025, at 11 a.m., the traditional Welcome to Freshmen event will take place in the lobby of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Informatics, where we will officially welcome new students to our academic community. Everyone at the faculty is eagerly looking forward to the opportunity to meet all the freshmen and guide them into a school year full of challenges, opportunities, and unforgettable moments.
The event program will be varied and informative, as we want to ensure that new students at the faculty feel welcome and prepared for everything that awaits them in the coming year.
PROGRAM:
- Welcome by the Dean of UM FERI, Prof. Dr. Gorazd Štumberger
- Welcome by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Gaja Gujt, and presentation of the FERI Student Council and extracurricular activities
- Welcome by the student tutor coordinator, Matevž Šavore: tips for studying and student life at FERI (AIPS, eŠtudij, FERI websites, tour of the faculty, etc.) and socializing
- Presentation of the study process for individual study programs (study program coordinators and first-year teachers in lecture halls)
- Greetings from student tutors: tips for studying and student life at FERI
- Information for students with special status or special needs
